2) Color & Sheen Strategy

4) Deep Clean & Surface Prep

Prep is the make-or-break stage for cabinet durability.

• Degrease: We remove cooking residues with professional cleaners that promote adhesion. 
• Scuff-sand: Mechanical abrasion for the tooth without damaging profiles. 
• Repairs: Fill nicks, level edges, address lifted veneer or minor water swelling, and caulk hairline joints where appropriate. 
• Dust management: Vacuum and tack between steps to prevent debris from telegraphing through the finish. 

5) Priming (Bond Built-In)

Different substrates need different primers:

• Bonding primers bite into existing finishes and create a foundation for enamel. 
• Stain-blockers prevent tannin bleed on oak, cherry, or knots. 
• Specialty primers for MDF and end grain to prevent fuzzing and absorption. 

We apply primer evenly and sand to a silky smoothness—your first glimpse of that soon-to-be factory feel.

6) Enamel Application: Doors, Drawers, Boxes

This is the fun part. We use professional-grade, catalyzed or urethane-modified cabinet enamels formulated for hardness and leveling. Depending on the scope and your space:

• Off-site: Doors/drawers are sprayed in a controlled environment for the smoothest, dust-free finish. 
• On-site: Face frames, panels, and cabinet boxes are sprayed or brush/rolled with specialized rollers for a uniform, brush-mark-free look. 
• Coat schedule: Typically two topcoats over primer, with intermediate sanding for glass-like smoothness. 

We check for even sheen, color uniformity, and proper mil thickness so the coating cures as strong as it looks.

7) Curing, Reassembly & Hardware

Once coatings have set sufficiently, we reassemble methodically:

• Reinstall numbered doors and drawers 
• Align and adjust hinges and soft-close hardware. 
• Install new pulls/knobs with precise jigs so everything lines up. 
• Final wipe-down and polish of surfaces 

We leave labeled touch-up containers and a care guide so your cabinets stay beautiful.

8) Final Walkthrough & Warranty

You’ll review the work in bright, raking light with us. Anything you spot goes on a punch list we address promptly. Your warranty is clear and written—no runaround.
